Gurvani Bajaj
5th Year | Law & Society with a Certificate in Public Administration and Law
My legal inspiration comes from the intersection between social justice and environmental protection. After watching the film, Erin Brokovich, in highschool, I realized just how big of an impact the environment has on people’s well-being, especially those from low-income communities. It’s no surprise that rapidly intensifying climate change is only compounding the social inequalities that marginalized people are facing, since they face the brunt of its effects. For this reason, I am interested in pursuing environmental law, as it gives me an outlet to protect vulnerable communities and the environment while holding corporations accountable for their actions towards the planet.
